The cambelt (also known as the timing belt) is one of the most important components of your car’s engine. It controls the timing of the internal combustion engine by synchronising the crankshaft and camshaft as they rotate. Your cambelt wears down over time and needs replacing at certain intervals given by your vehicle’s manufacturer. If you don’t replace your cambelt at the recommended intervals, you run the risk of it snapping which can cause very serious and very costly damage to your engine.
